Powering the Dodge Avenger
For the 2014 Avenger, there is a choice of two engines, a four cylinder and a six cylinder. Â The four cylinder makes 173 horsepower and 166 lb/ft of torque. Â The six cylinder has 283 horsepower and 260 lbs. of torque. Â The four cylinder engine has a four speed automatic transmission and the six cylinder engine has a six speed automatic transmission. Â
In the front, MacPherson struts are tuned to help provide an optimum balance of ride, handling and noise isolation. And in the back, the multi-link rear suspension allows individual movement of the rear wheels over differing road surfaces for the smoothest ride possible.
The 2014 Avenger's Design
The Dodge Avenger is a nice-looking car with smooth, clean lines and sharp creases. Â The cross hair grille is a Dodge trademark, and the Avenger uses black cross hairs lightly outlined in chrome. There are twin character lines on the hood. Â The Avenger uses halogen headlamps and LED tail lamps.
The Avenger is simple: everything in its correct place, and not too much of it. That alone makes driving more relaxing. Inside, their is a leather wrapped steering wheel, a 60/40 split and more.
