Powering the Jeep Patriot
For the 2014 Patriot, there is a choice of two engines. Â The first is a 2.0-liter four-cylinder that will deliver 158 horsepower, 141 pound feet of torque, and the second is a 2.4-liter four-cylinder that produces 172 horsepower and 165 pound feet of torque. Â
The first engine comes standard with a five speed manual, but also available with a second-generation CVT2 continuously variable transmission. The second has dual variable-valve timing on both intake and exhaust camshafts to help optimize torque, power, smoothness and fuel economy.
The 2014 Patriot's Design
The Patriot boasts details including the famous Jeep Seven-Slot Grille, trapezoidal wheel well openings, fog lamps, available adjustable crossbars, available power-heated folding mirrors, available two-piece front and rear fascia overlays and more. You can also get sixteen inch steel wheels and seventeen inch painted cast aluminum wheels.
The Patriot comes with standard features such as anti-lock brakes and hill assist, but it has available features such as a power sunroof, Uconnect Bluetooth hands free phone capability with iPod connectivity and much more.
